DTW Is More Than Just An Airport
There are 2 Terminals at DTW - The McNamara Terminal and the North Terminal.
Both terminals include a variety of services, restaurants and shopping. The Westin hotel is also located on-site in the McNamara Terminal. The Express Tram Runs from North to South of McNamara, and there are tunnels that take passengers between concourses. Everything is located on a grid, so parking, elevators, escalators, and other services are easy to find once you have located where North is.
If you are looking for information on Rental Cars, Public Transit, disability transportation, Luxury Sedans & Taxis, or any other ground transportation information, you can find up-to-date info on the website. DTW Terminal Map & Gate Information
- Unique features throughout DTW are what keep passengers coming back for more. At the center of McNamara Terminal, Concourse A, you will find a Water Feature that consists of 45 'leap frog' devices that shoot up streams of water. Designed by WET Design, this feature draws the attention of passengers. There's a lounge area near the feature where you can sit and enjoy the show, and coins tossed in the fountain are donated to both local and national non-profit organizations.
- If you've ever walked through the 700-ft. tunnel in the center of the concourses, you've experienced the attention grabbing, color-changing LED display. The Light Tunnel Features glass panels with sand-blasted artwork created by Foxfire Glass, illuminated by approximately 9,000 ft. of LED lighting. The lighting has been synchronized to an original score by Mills James. This is a must-see feature.
