Pensacola International Airport is a domestic airport in North Florida that covers 1,211 acres of land and has two available runways. On average, there are 320 aircraft operations per day, a combination of general aviation, military use, air taxi and commercial flights. The airport is split into two levels with different things on each one. The first level has baggage claim and ticketing areas as well as car rental counters, ATM machines and accessible restrooms. There's also a hotel information desk and a nursing area. Once you get to the second floor and past the TSA screening checkpoint, you'll see the departure gates alongside retail and food concessions throughout the terminal including restaurants, snack shops, newsstands and gift shops. Most of the gates are located on this level, 1 - 10, but gates 11 and 12 are located on the lower level of the airport. In recent years, the airport has gone through renovations in order to expand the terminals and increase service at PNS.

- PNS has a single passenger terminal with 12 gates that were all built in the 1990s. Located in a single concourse, 10 of the gates are found on the airport's upper level while 2 of them are found on the lower level of the airport. The gate that you head to in order to depart will depend entirely on which airline carrier you booked your flight with, and where you're headed. A gate 1, you can find Silver Airlines, while at gates 2 and 4 you'll find departing flights for Delta. United Airlines flights can be found departing from gates 3 and 9, and American Airlines uses gates 5, 6 and 7, while Southwest uses gate 10. Gate 8 is always left open for charter flights, diversions of any carrier that needs an extra gate to use.
